Scouts BSA Range & Target Activities

Programs your troop can run with the proper trained leadership.

Archery

Open Archery Shoot – a beginner archery shoot 

Archery Instructional – the basics of archery moving toward the merit badge 

Shotgun

Shotgun Instructional – the basics of shotgun shooting moving toward the merit badge 

Shotgun OPEN Shoot – an introduction to shotgun shooting.

Rifle

Rifle Instructional – the basics of rifle shooting moving toward the merit badge

Rifle OPEN Shoot – an introduction to rifle shooting

Muzzle Loading Rifle Shooting – an introduction to muzzle loading rifles. 

Multigun Airsoft – a program for the popular sport of Airsoft

Programs that can be offered by your council as a year-round or summer camp program.

To offer these programs, councils must request National approval by declaring them annually on the Intent to Operate.  These programs must be council-sponsored and may not be offered at the unit level.
