The Baden-Powell Fellowship recognizes individuals for their financial contributions to the World Scout Foundation to help support Scouting around the world. Today there are thousands of living Fellows from around the world. Fellows include many husbands and wives, their children, and even their grandchildren.
The only membership requirement to become a Baden-Powell Fellow is a $10,000 contribution. An initial contribution of $5,000 may be made, provided the balance is paid within a two-year period. There are no other membership requirements, there is no obligation to attend fellowship events, and anonymous donations are accepted. Contributions made to the BSA and designated to the Baden-Powell Fellowship/World Scout Foundation qualify for tax benefits.
Each member receives a special medallion, certificate, and lapel pin in recognition of this honor. Each year, a different country hosts a Baden-Powell Fellowship reception to pay tribute to the Baden-Powell Fellows. The honorary president of the World Scout Foundation, His Majesty the King of Sweden, normally attends and presents the recognition items personally.
