Program Supply Center Manager
Position Overview
The Program Supply Center (PSC) Manager is detail-oriented with exceptional communication and time management skills. The PSC Manager will handle the daily operations of our online and possible pop-up retail stores, providing program materials, advancement items, uniforms, and other merchandise to participants and volunteers across the Transatlantic Council community. They will oversee and be responsible for the overall online sales and net profitability of the PSC, including design and procurement of new items, customer service via phone and email, PSC-related marketing campaigns, and the daily fulfillment of placed orders.
To be a successful PSC Manager, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, be detail-oriented, and have strong time-management skills. Comfortable working independently in a warehouse-type environment. You must be proficient with computers and be able to learn our in-house POS system. You must be trustworthy, efficient, organized, respectful, and diplomatic.
Responsibilities
• Fulfill orders: including picking orders, preparing mailing, and managing inventory. Conduct annual inventory.
• Submit annual PSC budget.
• Perform basic office tasks, such as data entry and filing, processing mail, etc.
• Handle communications professionally with clients, vendors, and staff via phone, email, Zoom, etc.
• Procure new supplies from various vendors for various sub-sites.
• Operate the PSC within budgeted guidelines to meet profit goals.
• Safeguards cash and inventory using current policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of records, orders, personal information, accounts, finances, and spreadsheets.
• Possible travel to and from various council-related events.
• Full-time position: 40 hours a week.
• Other job duties as assigned by the Scout Executive/CEO.
• Reports to the Scout Executive/CEO.
Education
- Bachelors degree
Qualifications
- Ability to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Flexibility in dealing with daily challenges while living in a foreign country.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
- Prior retail/retail management work experience required.
- Experience in modern supply, logistics, bookkeeping, inventory management, point-of-sales, customer service, teamwork, non-profits, and Scouting programs is a plus.
- A college degree or equivalent in a related field is desirable. Military veterans and spouses are encouraged to apply.
- This is a physically demanding job: the ability to lift to 70lbs (40kg) is required.
- Driver’s license and own transportation (will be reimbursed for mileage).
- Candidates must have a US Social Security number and a US bank account. Applicant will possess an installation pass for the United States Army Garrison – Brussels.
- Eligibility is open to all adult military/federal command-sponsored U.S. citizens in the local commuting area, as well as U.S. citizens residing currently in the US and willing to move to Brussels, Belgium.
- All employees are required to register with Scouting America and complete required training during a probationary period of 90 days. A background check will be performed. A Scout uniform is required.
