Position Overview
The Mecklenburg County Council in Charlotte, North Carolina, has an opening for a Development Director.
Our Staff is a committed group of talented individuals with a desire to serve our community. Our board is active and excited to collaboratively work alongside our staff.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing the Friends of Scouting Campaign
- Leading the Council Golf Tournament & Sporting Clay special events
- Leading the Council’s Corporate Campaigning
- Planning and leading the council’s FOS campaign & Good Scout Luncheon kickoff.
- Overseeing the Council’s development strategies, including:
- Annual Eagle Gathering
- Annual Board training
- Develop and lead the council’s grant writing
