Responsibilities

The Accounting Assistant will:
• Provide primary execution of the proper and robust use of the fundraising software utilized by the BSA, BlackBaud. This includes utilizing all functions in a timely and accurate manner including, but not limited to, inputting pledges and gifts, running reports and processing payments.
•Provide primary administrative support in the preparation and mailing of all letters related to BlackBaud campaigns, including, but limited to, invites, pledge reminders, thank you communications, and appeals.
•Provide primary administrative support to the FOS campaign, including, but not limited to, the preparation and organization of presentations materials.
•Provide primary execution as the Council Coordinator for Jitasa, a 3rd-party vendor that provides all accounting, payroll, and accounts payable services to the Council. This includes a standing monthly meeting with the Scout Executive and a Jitasa lead.
•Provide primary administrative support in the utilization of PeopleSoft, the accounting software of the BSA.
•Provide primary administrative support in all HR functions, such as, onboarding, payroll, time sheets, retirement, health insurance, workers comp, PTO, and record keeping.
•Provide primary administrative support to the Camp Corporation, GSC Foundation and the OA.
•Provide primary administrative support in connection with all insurances carried by the GSC and the creation of requested COI’s.
•Provide primary administrative support in connection with credit cards held by the GSC.
•Provide back-up administrative support for the creation of online registration for all events.
•Assist with Council and/or District activities, events and fundraisers, as needed.

Desired Skills:
•Proven experience in non-profit fundraising support. Experience in fundraising execution preferred.
•Demonstrate ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
•Self-motivated individual with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills.
•Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and BlackBaud preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

•Must be willing to accept and meet the Boy Scout of America’s leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law. (Information on this may be found at www.scouting.org)
•A Scouting background is helpful but not required for employment.

Adams has also received multiple service awards from the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers.
