Position Overview

The Summit Bechtel Reserve is looking for  friendly, outgoing Food Service Workers to join our amazing team.  This position provides quality and nutritional food service in support of BSA programs. The Food Service Workers maintains, cleans, and sanitizes workstations, cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen or dining area, and refills condiments or other supplies as needed.  This position also prepares dining areas for the serving of meals and sets up serving lines and/or salad bar areas and cleans dining, service, and food preparation areas. You will follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
• Ensures storage and service of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serves food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures.
• Uses and takes care of kitchen and dining room equipment.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
• Adheres to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
• Adheres to the uniform policy.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following the outlined steps of service.
• Maintains a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrubs and polishes counters and cleans and sanitizes steam tables and other equipment.
• Follows established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing.
• Maintains garbage collection site and dining room floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of: Safety awareness.

Skill in: Working independently and organizing work.

Ability to: Work quickly and concisely under pressure; follow verbal and written instructions.

 

Education

No minimum requirement.

Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in food service.
  • Mush pass a criminal history background check.
Licenses

Food handler’s certification must be obtained within seven (7) days of entry into position.
