Position Overview

Help Scouting volunteers work with youth and families through employment on the Gateway Scouting Team.  This is a professional entry-level position which will provide a variety of exciting opportunities to support youth programs in our area.  Scouting is a regional leader amongst non-profits and committed to a great work environment and experience for its employees.

You will work on an existing team to help build the Scouting program in our area.
Great position for a high-energy individual who is excited about connecting with new persons.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Connect with many new persons to help build involvement
  • Work with volunteer teams to help plan various events and projects
  • Support fundraising efforts by connecting with community groups and businesses for sponsorships and other assistance
  • Provide customer service to volunteers through communication and training on existing resources
  • Be a comfortable communicator in public settings and working with a wide variety of people
  • Being organized, self-motivated, and responsible are critical
Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience

Qualifications
  • Be able to work varied hours when necessary including evenings and weekends

A triathlete who has completed hundreds of races, Alexander has also mentored the women’s triathlon team at Arizona State University.

He has more than 40 years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy fields, including serving as a president, owner, and CEO. Adams has also received multiple service awards from the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers.
