Position Overview

The Environmental Compliance Technician will be responsible for maintaining environmental and health standards of facilities to ensure quality and safe experiences for all participants. The position monitors the environment and equipment to ensure that environmental regulatory obligations are fulfilled and that risks are effectively mitigated.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, track, and report state mandated data regarding drinking water quality.
  • Performs tests of pollution levels and recommends the appropriate action to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal legislation and regulations regarding environmental control.
  • Assists in the planning and installation of equipment or modifications relating to the environment.
  • Track environmental permits and licenses or certification for those full-time employees that are required to maintain them.
  • Set up the required training programs. May train and monitor seasonal staff on environmental testing and safety procedures.
  • Assists in providing environmental safety and educational programs, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedures.
  • Serve as the compliance liaison between Philmont and all state/federal regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with NCAP updates.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some advance level education preferred
Licenses
  •  State water/wastewater certificate
  •  State driver’s license

He is the founder of Caljet, one of the largest independent motor fuels terminals in the U.S. He has served the Arizona Petroleum Marketers Association, Teen Lifeline, and American Heart Association. A triathlete who has completed hundreds of races, Alexander has also mentored the women’s triathlon team at Arizona State University.

He has more than 40 years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy fields, including serving as a president, owner, and CEO. Adams has also received multiple service awards from the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers.
