Throughout its rich, diverse history, the Boy Scouts of America has affected the lives of young people, helping to create some of the nation's most celebrated leaders and citizens. We continually search for potential career employees who would like to work in a profession that has a meaningful, rewarding purpose. Bring to the BSA your varied life experiences, education, and perspective, and in return you will have an opportunity to combine those skills and experiences in a career that values and respects others. Scouting is a profession with a purpose!
Each of the BSA local councils, or local offices, is a separate and independent employer that reviews and coordinates resumes received as vacancies occur. Contact the council you are most interested in working with to complete the applicant process. Contact and complete the application process at only one council office.
If you are not selected for employment with your council of first choice, and are open to relocation, send an email to Pro.Scouts@scouting.org indicating the locations where you are willing to work. The National Service Center will share your application information with the council(s).
Below is a list of councils by state and city with current openings. Select the city to review the job opening or to link to the council's website.
