Supply List

  • 6” playground ball (one for each team)

Objective

If two teams are formed, be the first team to complete the relay. If a small group, work together improve your time.

Set-Up

Identify an area free of hazards.

Directions

Each team forms a single file line with players one behind the other facing the forward.  The first player in line is given the ball.  The relay starts with the first player passing the ball between their legs to the second player.  The ball is never tossed or thrown; it must be handed to the next player.  The second player passes the ball by reaching over their head to the third player, and so on with every other player passing between their legs and the next player passing over their heads.  When the ball reaches the last player in line, they run to the front of the line with the ball and pass it to player behind them (that player started as the first in line).  The relay is completed when the player who started in the first position at the beginning returns to the first position.
