Relay race using the crab walk.
Get details on the Fun & Games specifications.
No supplies needed
Be the first team to complete the relay. If only one team, work to improve your time.
Identify a clear flat place free of hazards. Make sure the floor is clean as players will have their hands on the floor. Identify a starting point and a turnaround point that are 20 feet apart.
Each team forms a single file line. The first player on each team sits on their bottom with their back to the turnaround point and places their hands behind them and then lifts their body up with their hands and legs. Their back should be parallel to the floor. This is the crab position. The players move in this position (backward) to the turnaround point. When they reach the turnaround point, they stand up and run back to the starting point. When they reach the starting point, the next player on their team repeats the crab walk, and so on. If playing with more than one team, the first team to complete the relay wins. If playing with only one team, continue the relay until every player has completed the relay. Repeat the relay to try and improve the team’s time.
