Each Cub Scout works with their adult partner to keep their balloon from touching the ground.
Each Cub Scout works with their adult partner to keep their balloon from touching the ground by batting in the air without catching it
Inflate and distribute one balloon to each Cub Scout
Identify starting areas so that each Cub Scout and adult partner can play without interfering with other Cub Scouts and their adult partners. Mark each starting area with a small “x” of painter’s tape
Instruct Cub Scouts to select a play area so that they will not interfere with other Cub Scouts.
On “Go” Each Cub Scout tosses their balloon in the air and then bats the balloon back up as it falls, in order to keep it from touching the ground. Adult partners assist their Cub Scout as appropriate. Count the number of times the balloon is batted before it touches the ground. If the balloon touches the ground, pick it up, return to the starting position, and begin again. Try to improve the count each time.
After the game, collect and dispose of balloons, any fragments from popped balloons, and all painters tape
