Get details on the Fun & Games specifications.
No supplies are needed.
Get through the alphabet and stay in the game.
No set up required.
Have players sit in a circle. The game leader starts by naming a category such as “food”. The game leader then names says a food that starts with “A”; for example “Apple”. The person to their left then names a food that starts with the letter “B”; for example “Banana” and so on. Each person has 10 seconds to name a food with the correct letter or they pass and they lose a try. Everyone gets three tries per game. When someone uses all three tries, they can no longer guess and they are skipped for the rest of the category.
Use simple categories for younger Cub Scouts such as Food, Colors, or Animals, and harder categories for older Cub Scouts such as Movies, Games, or Famous People.
Level Up
If the word a person uses starts and ends with the same letter, such as “Raingutter”, the order of play is reversed. So if game play is the person to the left, it now changes to the person toon the right.
If the category is a Names, for names that have the same first letter for both their first and last names, the order of play is reversed. So if game play is the person to the left, it now changes to the person toon the right.
