Position Overview
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is seeking a reliable and customer-focused part-Time Shuttle/Bus Driver to transport HAB participants to outdoor events, the airport, and/or hospital appointments. This position is responsible for ensuring passengers are transported safely, efficiently, and courteously while following established routes and schedules.

This position reports to the Supervisor, Facilities Services.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates a bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Follows designated routes and adheres to schedules, making timely stops for passenger pick-up and drop-off.
- Assists passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, providing courteous and helpful service.
- Collects fares or verifies passes as required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Communicates effectively with passengers, answering questions and providing information about routes and schedules.
- Reports any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities.
- May transport parts as needed.
- Attends training sessions and meetings as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Knowledge of: Knowledge of the HAB street system. Familiarity with bus mechanics and proper maintenance.
- Skill in: Operating a passenger shuttle or bus (depending on assignment); strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills.
- Ability to: Work independently and as part of a team; handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously; remain calm and professional under pressure.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in operating a passenger shuttle and/or bus.
- Must pass a criminal history background check and driver’s license check.
Licenses
When assigned to operating a bus, must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
