Position Overview
Mount Baker Council is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven sales professional to serve as its Membership Growth Executive. This position is responsible for expanding the reach and impact of Scouting within the council territory (NW Washington). This position will require extensive travel, operating in a work-from-home office environment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong track record in sales and relationship management.
The primary focus of the Membership Growth Executive is to drive measurable growth in both youth participation in Scouting programs through the establishment of new Scouting units.
Responsibilities
- Membership Growth: Drives membership growth by organizing new units. (Identify new partners to expand Scouting. Recruit youth members and adult leaders.)
- Sales: Builds and maintains strong relationships with schools, chartered organizations, and community leaders while recruiting and supporting new-unit organizers to drive membership and unit growth.
- Marketing and Community Engagement: Builds relationships with schools, community leaders, and underserved markets to promote and expand Scouting.
- Technology & Administrative Support: Utilizes technology for management, communication, and reporting while maintaining accurate records and timely outreach.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree – (Work and life experience may qualify)
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years in sales relationship development, marketing, relationship management, or membership growth
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
- Passion for youth development and the Scouting mission

Compensation
- $80,000 + Bonus Structure Based on Metrics Achieved
