Sr. Administrative Assistant
Position Overview
This position provides administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the organization. The Sr. Administrative Assistant provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to Scouting America Outfitters. May prepare presentations, budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating team served. May serve as an administration liaison to others inside and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations. May provide a specific service such as mail distribution, receptionist, filing, or data entry.
Responsibilities
- Greets visitors and answers phones. Regularly interfaces with internal and external customers, executives, and top management of the company.
- Schedules meetings and travel arrangements. Maintains department budgets, calendars, forms, and office supplies. Orders supplies, furniture, and equipment. Distributes mail and reports. Prepares correspondence, agendas, manuals, reports, and other materials. Produces graphics for presentations. Edits publications, reports, and other communications. Handles more complex administration issues of a confidential nature requiring considerable use of discretion.
- Provides research and analysis on complex projects and assignments that require a thorough knowledge of the business or organization. Reviews and recommends improvements to internal processes. Provides knowledge and expertise to other administrative support. Serves as backup to other administrative support.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of: Administrative procedures and best practices; project management principles and methods; budgeting and financial reporting processes; business communication and etiquette; relevant industry regulations and standards.
Skill in: Organization and time management; written and verbal communication; using Microsoft Office Suite; analytical and problem-solving; customer service.
Ability to: Multitask and prioritize effectively; build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients; maintain discretion handling confidential information; work independently and as part of a team; use project management software and other relevant tools; learn new software and procedures quickly; work with a minimum of supervision.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalency
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work on-site at offices in Charlotte, NC
