The Zachary Tinkle Foundation partnered with Scouting America to bring high-octane excitement to one of the most beloved Cub Scout traditions—the Pinewood Derby. Through the “Get Your Pinewood Derby Design on Zachary Tinkle’s Racecar” contest, this partnership merged the creative spirit of Cub Scouts with the thrill of professional racing, inspiring youth across the country to dream big and design bold.

About the Contest

This national contest invited Cub Scouts from across the country to submit photos of their Pinewood Derby car designs for the chance to have their creation featured as a custom wrap on professional racecar driver Zachary Tinkle’s car during the ARCA Menards Series East race at Rockingham Speedway on April 19, 2025. The winning design will be showcased on a full-sized stock car—complete with the Scout’s name, the Scouting America logo, and Zachary’s signature racing number.
