Using the safety checklist, identify ways to keeping their home safe.

  • Safe Space Checklist found in Additional Resources 
  • Printer 
  • Webelos handbook 
  • Pencils, one for each Cub Scout 

Before the meeting: 

  1. Use either the Webelos handbook or print a copy of the Safe Space Checklist for each Cub Scout. 

During the meeting: 

  1. Provide the Safe Space Checklist and pencil to each Cub Scout. 
  2. Ask Cub Scouts to think about all the rooms in their home. Using the Safe Space Checklist, they should check off the safety items found. 
  3. After completing the Safe Space Checklist, discuss the safety components of their individual homes.  
  4. Identify items that their home should consider adding.
