Directions

Before the meeting:

Print a Paper Airplane Golf scorecard for each Cub Scout.
Find an open outdoor area with enough room for each hole.
For each hole, place a hula hoop, laundry basket, bucket, etc. on the ground and mark a starting point a few steps away.

During the meeting:

Have Cub Scouts make paper airplanes.
Starting at hole 1, each Cub Scout flies their plane, trying to land it inside the “hole” with the fewest throws.
After their turn, each Cub Scout records their score on the scorecard.
When all Cub Scouts have had a turn at hole 1, they move to hole 2 and so on, until Cub Scouts complete all the holes.
Ask Cub Scouts what features the paper airplanes that did the best have in common.
