  • Tent, one for every two or three Cub Scouts

Before the meeting:

  1. Contact parents and legal guardians and gather enough tents so that every 2 or 3 Cub Scouts can share a tent.
  2. Set up meeting space with plenty of room to set up a tent.
  3. Check the tents to make sure it has all the pieces needed to set up properly.

During the meeting:

  1. Divide Cub Scouts into groups of two or three and give each group a tent.
  2. Cub Scouts work together setting up their tent without adult help.
  3. After they have set up their tents ask the Cub Scouts what they think made them successful in setting up the tent together and what challenges they faced and how they overcame them.
