Directions

Before the meeting:

Set up the meeting location to allow Cub Scouts and Tiger adult partners to complete the activity in the Tiger handbook.

During the meeting:

Gather the Cub Scouts and Tiger adult partners.
Share that before the den goes on their fishing trip there are safety rules we need to follow.
Review the safety rules in the Tiger handbook on page 35.
- Fish with proper supervision
- Get permission to fish where you plan to fish
- Check the weather before you go
- Use the buddy system
- Give plenty of room to others who are fishing nearby
- Never fish where people are swimming
Have the Cub Scouts color the fishing rules on page 35 of the Tiger handbook and work with their Tiger adult partner to match the image with the rule.
