Before the Meeting:

1. Become familiar with the instructions on how to write and sign holiday cards on the Holiday Cards Challenge website: https://militaryholidaycardchallenge.com/how-to-send/
2. Gather supplies and make a sample holiday card.

During the Meeting:

1. Share with the Cub Scouts that for their service project for this Adventure, they are going to make holiday cards for people in the military. Explain that sometimes people who serve in the military are not able to come home for the holidays and that we want to let them know that we are thinking of them during this special time of year.
2. Review the steps to making a letter.
   1. Address their card to “Dear Warrior”.
   2. Write a holiday/gratitude greeting, keeping in mind that our Troops are diverse in their holiday practices and beliefs.
   3. Write a personal note. For example: How do you celebrate the holidays? What are your family memories of holidays? According to our Warriors, this is known to be the favorite part of receiving your cards!
   4. Sign your first name ONLY and the town and state where you live, and your Cub Scout Pack Number.
   5. Keep the size to no larger than an 8 x 11 size paper folded in half.
3. Allow Cub Scouts to make and decorate as many cards as you have time for in the meeting.

After the Meeting:

1. Please have letters mailed to the Scouting America National Service Center by November 7, 2025. Gather all the cards and send them in one package to the Scouting America National Service Center at:
