Scouter’s Training Award

Overview

This award was developed to recognize Scout leaders who have completed training, tenure, and performance standards.

Who Can Earn This Award?

This award is available for registered adult leaders serving in the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scout programs as well as those serving as district committee members.

This award can be earned multiple times, once in each program.

How To Get the Award

Completed applications should be submitted to the District or Council Service center to be processed by the District or Council Training committees and recorded in My.Scouting.

Supply Item Description & Uniform Placement

Knot: Green knot on a tan background. No 5008. Knot is to be worn above the left pocket. Medal: Green ribbon with a thin white stripe suspending a pendant of a Fleur-de-lis superimposed on a letter A. No 922. Medals are to be worn on special occasions above the left pocket. Add device for specific program(s) i.e., Cub Scouts (No. 604950), Scouts BSA (No. 927), Venturing (No. 940) Sea Scouts (No. 931), or district committee (No. 872).

Restricted Items

The knots, devices, and medals are restricted items. Your unit must present the approved Scouter’s Training Award Record & Application or award certificate to your local Scout Shop for purchase.
