Under supervision, perform a preflight inspection of an aircraft.
Pre-flighting an airplane is the most important thing that pilots do before flight. It consists of a number of steps, specific to that aircraft. In general, preflight inspections will include the following:
Exterior Walkaround

Wings
- Check for damage, cracks, or obstructions.
- Inspect ailerons and flaps for smooth movement.
- Ensure wing tip lights are not cracked or damaged in any way.

Fuselage
- Look for dents, loose panels, or leaks.

Tail
- Check the rudder and elevator for secure attachment and movement.
- Ensure tail light is not cracked or damaged in any way.

Landing Gear
- Check tires for wear, proper inflation, and debris in the wheel well.
- Inspect struts and brake lines for damage or leaks.

Fuel and Oil
Fuel:- Use the fuel sampler to check for water or contaminants.
- Confirm sufficient fuel levels and check caps for a secure fit.
Oil:
- Check oil levels using the dipstick.

Propeller and Engine
- Inspect the propeller for nicks or damage.
- Check the engine cowling for leaks or loose screws.

Lights and Pitot Tube
- Ensure all lights (navigation, strobe, and landing) are functional.
- Check the pitot tube for blockages.
