2019 Lottery Information

    • The registration period for the Sea Base Lottery begins on January 23rd at 9:00 a.m. EST.
    • The registration period for the Sea Base Lottery ends on February 13th at 5:00 p.m. EST.
    • A Scout Unit must create an account to register for the lottery. Each unit is allowed 1 account. To create an account, the unit must have their BSA Unit ID number. The BSA Unit ID number is the number your unit uses for re-charter, it is not your Troop/Team/Crew/Post number. Please contact your local Scout Office to obtain this number if you do not already have it.
    • A unit can request up to 10 different adventures and as many dates per adventure as they would like.
    • Multiple crews can be requested for each date. For example; If your unit would like to bring 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 crews for an adventure on August 10, you can request up to the maximum number of crews available for that date/adventure.
    • Each unit will only be awarded 1 date/adventure type.
    • When a date/adventure is awarded to a unit, the unit gets all crews requested for that date/adventure.
    • Units will be notified of lottery result in early March.
    • Once a reservation is awarded; the unit must send a deposit of $100, per crew awarded, within two weeks to secure the reservation. Units who do not send in the deposit will be cancelled. The deposit is non-refundable.
    • Within 30 days, each crew must send in their first payment. The first payment is based upon the maximum number of participants per crew multiplied by $100. For example; if the unit has booked an adventure with 6- 8 participants they must pay $800. If a unit has been awarded multiple crews, they must make payment for each crew awarded. Units who do not send payment will be cancelled. The payment is non-refundable unless the date/adventure is rebooked.
