Last week saw a big milestone for what we affectionately call the “Digital Pack.” Our Cub Scouts Facebook page received its 100,000th “Like.”
That means 100,000 of you parents, Scouters and fans out there have taken the time to like, follow, and find value in the Scouting-relevant posts we share with you on a daily basis. That’s a big number, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down, as more and more of you join the “Digital Pack” every day.
It doesn’t stop there, either. From sharing the best of Scouting on the CubHub blog, to trading pro-tips at #CubChat on Twitter, and from curating great Blue and Gold recipes on Pinterest, to featuring your Cub Scouts in action on our Instagram feed, our Scouting movement on the social web is bigger and more influential than it’s ever been.
Sure 100,000 fans on Facebook is great, but even that number pales in comparison to the millions who read and engage with Scouting online every month!
It’s a new and exciting time to be a part of the Cub Scouts, and the larger Scouting movement. All across the country, and all over the internet, Scouting is being made more accessible and more downloadable. As we facilitate the sharing of good ideas and leadership tips, we are seeing a conversation happen among Scouters all across the country that is making Scouting more innovative and more exciting. New leaders are stepping into the program with a running start, and Cub Scouts are still having the time of their lives.
We are inspired by the energy all of you bring to the table to apply Scouting to your dens, packs and families in meaningful, memorable ways. It’s a noble cause, and it sure is a blast!
Thank you for bringing us this far. Here’s to the next 100,000!
