Meet Michelle, the proud mother of a Webelos Scout.

She knows that life can be busy and hectic, especially in a large family and the fleeting phase of childhood. But that’s exactly why for her being involved in Scouting is so important! For Michelle, Scouting is a great way to spend family time together

“They grow so fast but scouting provides a family opportunity, to be involved in something that makes a difference in our son that he will carry with him through his adult years.”

Watch as this Scout mom with tears in her eyes says how Scouting for her and her family has had a huge impact on her son.

Did you catch that? She said, “Scouting truly does make the most of the time we have with our child.”

She goes on to say, “We could be involved in a lot of things, but with Scouting, we are truly involved as a family. We’re letting him grow independently, but he’s under our wings still, and it involves all of us as a family unit. And it really does bring us together and capitalize on the little time we have left with him before he is grown and out the door and on his own.”

Her appeal to those who watch this video? “If you’re out there and on the fence in making a decision in getting involved in Scouts, I would love to encourage you to give it a try. Find somebody who is involved and connect with them so you can begin to experience all that Scouting has to offer for your family.”

We could not have said it better. Thank you Michelle! If Scouting is something you are interested in for you and your family and you’d like to learn more, please check out our new website. Or click on the banner below.
