“Tonight, we recognize and welcome new Committee Members who have been selected and approved to serve Pack [Number].  Their time, effort, and commitment will make a difference in the lives of our Cub Scouts and families.”

“[Names], you are accepting an important responsibility by joining the Pack Committee.  You will be helping to shape the future of our pack, providing guidance and support to our leaders, and ensuring that our Scouts have meaningful and enriching experiences.  As you begin this role, I invite you to join me in reciting the Scout Oath and Scout Law as a reminder of the values that guide us in Scouting.”

New Committee Members face the Pack, raise the Scout Sign, and recite the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Committee Chair:

“[Committee Members] have pledged to uphold the values of Scouting and to serve as dedicated members of our Pack Committee.  Their efforts will help ensure that Pack [Number] continues to grow and thrive.  To our leaders, Cub Scouts and families, will you support them in their roles and work together to create the best possible Cub Scouting experience?  If so, please reply with ‘We will.’”

Audience replies: “We will.”

The Committee Chair presents each Committee Member with a position patch and a symbol of office, such as a binder or Cub Scout handbook:

“[Names], on behalf of Pack [Number], I officially welcome you as members of our Pack Committee.  We are grateful for your service and look forward to working together to guide our Cub Scouts on their journey.  Congratulations!”
