Before the meeting:
- Print a copy of the Campfire Safety worksheet for each Cub Scout.
- Set up meeting space for Cub Scouts to complete worksheet.
- Identify an area around the meeting space where a campfire could be safely built.
During the meeting:
- Hand out the Campfire Safety worksheets and pencils. Ask Cub Scouts to complete the worksheet.
- Discuss the answers.
- After Cub Scouts have reviewed the worksheet, ask them to buddy up.
- Walk around outside your meeting space. Ask Cub Scouts to identify a safe area to possibly build a fire.
Tip: You may want to complete this requirement when on the campout.
