Before the meeting:

During the meeting:

Explain to Cub Scouts that they will be taking a long bike ride. Tell them that you have a crossword puzzle for them to help them learn the items to take on the ride.
Allow time for Cub Scouts to do the crossword puzzle.
When finished, ask the following questions:
- Why do you think we need to bring an air pump?
- Why do we need to bring a tire repair kit?
- Why do we need gloves?
- What type of shoes should we wear and why?
- Is there anything else we might need or want to bring?
