Fundamentals of Major Gifts & Endowment

Generating sufficient financial support to sustain and grow Scouting is one of the four principle roles of the local council. Major gifts can have significant impact on the health of the local council and they are the result of positive relationships with donors.

The Fundamentals of Major Gifts course aims to prepare Scouting professionals and volunteers to establish, cultivate and actuate relationships with individuals capable of making significant financial gifts to Scouting. This course prepares participants to develop council major gifts strategies, identify potential donors, cultivate and educate those donors, present effective gifting options to donors, recognize the donors, and continue to embrace the relationship with donors as trustworthy stewards for Scouting.

Lodging and meals are included in the cost; however, participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
