Fiscal Management II

This course includes breakout sessions and takes participants into a deeper understanding of the concepts learned in Fiscal Management 1.  Course participants will engage in budget and cash flow management exercises and apply debits and credits to the concepts of fiscal management.  A portion of this course will include roundtable discussions highlighting best methods and ways to work more effectively and efficiently.

  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Budgeting
  • Cash flow
  • Restricted contributions
  • Reclassifications
  • Recording investment income
  • Audits
  • Interfund loans
  • Month-end and year-end close 

Who should attend: Designed for tenured accounting personnel and commissioned executives who have attended Fiscal Management 1 (FM1).  This course is also appropriate for local council and area finance volunteers.

The deadline for registration is three weeks prior to the start of each session. 

The course fee is $300 and each participant is responsible for travel, meals, and lodging costs.
