This site contains a collection of successful ideas that councils around the country are sharing with our Strategic Performance team as they conduct Business Practices assessments. The team is spending three to four days in each council interviewing staff and taking a look at that council’s operations. When we find a “great idea,” we will post it on this site, enabling everyone to review the idea and see if it may be useful in their council.
By definition, these ideas are not “best practices,” but have been successful in the councils that put them into action. Please browse this site and see if any of the ideas spur your imagination. You can then use them “as is” or tailor them to your own needs. As the Strategic Performance team’s assessments continue, we will be adding more “great ideas” to the site.
The ideas are separated into four categories—the four functions of the Boy Scouts of America. Click below to access the ideas.
