As the national volunteer chairman for the Government and Community Relations Committee of the Boy Scouts of America, I am indeed proud to serve in this capacity as our volunteers and professionals join together with a call to action in our National Strategic Plan to become one of the largest youth advocacy organizations in America and to be proactive with a seat at the table in support of our youth in the areas of healthy living, bullying, outdoor education, workforce preparedness, environmental awareness, and creating a major effort to serve our ethnic markets.
Today, we are proud to say that over 1.1 million loyal and dedicated volunteers share in our mission to improve representation of the Boy Scouts of America in working with our federal, state, elected, and appointed officials to strengthen community alliances, strategic relationships, and association agreements.
We hope you will join Scouting’s 52 million living alumni and assist us in the next century of Scouting.
Chartered organizations across the United States deliver a quality Scouting program to youth in approximately 115,000 units every single day. We must continue to prepare our youth for life. I’d like to thank you for assisting us in growing the next century of Scouting.
