May parents attend meetings?

Scouting is a volunteer-led organization where parents become the volunteer leadership that organizes and delivers the program.

For the Cub Scout program (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) parents are encouraged to attend and participate. For Kindergarten (Lions) and 1st Grade (Tigers) an adult partner, who is often the parent, is required to be in attendance with the Cub Scout at all meetings and activities.

For Scouts BSA, parents are encouraged to participate, but in a way that does not interfere with the youth leadership model of the Troop.

For Venturing and Sea Scouts, encouraged to participate, but in a way that does not interfere with the youth leadership model of the Crew or Ship.
