Moving can be a traumatic experience even under the best circumstances,
and Scouting can help to minimize the effects of this change for your child.
Whether your move is across town or across the country, it’s easy to locate
a new unit before or after your move—see Choosing a Pack, Troop, Team,
or Crew. It’s important to keep the momentum your child has established in
Scouting by notifying your unit leader when you know the details of your
move.
The Youth Member Transfer Form (available from your unit leader--$1
fee) will provide your child’s complete Scouting record, including their advancement
and awards information.
Scouts who transfer to another unit pick up right where they left off, without
losing credit for any work completed or in-progress.
