As a jamboree staff member, you can help make Scouting history in 2015. The upcoming World Scout Jamboree in Kirara-hama, Japan, promises to be one of the best ever. With 30,000 Scouts expected to attend from six continents and 161 countries, it’s going to be a world-class event.
The theme of the 23rd World Scout Jamboree is “WA: A Spirit of Unity.” Scouts and leaders are invited to come to Japan and be a part of the world brotherhood of Scouting. The World Scout Jamboree host country has extended an invitation to Scouters that do not participate as a leader to be a part of their International Service Team (IST). As an IST participant, you will apply through the same process as an adult leader. After you have received regional approval, your application will be forwarded to Japan. From that point, you will receive your duties, arrival dates, and any other instructions directly through The Scout Association of Japan.
To apply you must agree to the mandatory terms regarding Payment Schedule, Statement of Understanding, and Code of Conduct, and Medical Requirements.
