National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience
The National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) is the ultimate in training experiences for youth leaders, both young men and women. It is conducted for older Scouts who have the potential for being on the staff of the council junior leader training or youth leader training conference. The camp is held at the Rocky Mountain Scout Camp, approximately two miles from base camp and situated in the beautiful foothills viewing the Tooth of Time.
Who May Participate?
To be able to participate in NAYLE, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Successful completion of Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops or Crews (ILST or ILSC) and National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) or successful completion of the NAYLE bridge course. For more information about the NAYLE bridge course, visit scouting.org/training.
- Be in top physical condition; a BSA Annual Health & Medical Record Form is required
- Be 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade and are not yet 21
- Hold a unit leadership position

What Is the Cost?
The fee for the six-day course is before 1/1/ and after 1/1/ ( season). A payment of at least $25 is due when you complete the online application, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. However, be aware that only registrations paid in full are considered complete registrations. The cancellation fee is $50 nonrefundable per person.
