DK Publishing Introduces Two New Titles: The Unofficial Handbook of Good Deeds and The Boy Scouts of America® Deck of Cooking

The Unofficial Handbook of Good Deeds is an easy-to-read guide that features 300 good deeds kids can do to help others, and to make the world a better place. This 192 page book contains ideas for projects that are graded from easy to advanced. Some are solo deeds; other requiring organizing a group activity, but all can be done without the assistance of an adult.
There are certificates and postcards for kids to photocopy, cut out, and award to themselves or their friends, or to send to each other to mark another good deed done.

The Boy Scouts of America® Deck of Outdoor Cooking is a box of recipes on 34 wipe-clean cards for campers, backpackers, or anyone who wants to make quick, easy, and delicious meals outdoors. Conveniently sized for storage in backpacks, in RVs, or in camping gear, this deck of recipes offers clear instructions and annotated step-by-step photographs for making simple meals using dutch ovens, grilling, or direct heating methods.
Some of the most popular recipes are selected from those published in Boys' Life magazine. This is the 7th deck in the deck of cards series: Stars, Fishing, Trees, Knots, First Aid, and Birds.
These books will be available in May 2011 at the Boy Scouts Boutique on DK.com, Scout Stores, scoutstuff.org and at major book stores.
