Maria Dahl-Smith

Associate Director of Communications and Development

Maria manages development and delivery of communications and marketing support to councils around the country. No stranger to Scouting, Maria has been with the national office since 1989, and through the years has managed the creation and maintenance of publications and multimedia communication material for the Boy Scout Division. She also oversaw Spanish-language translation and production services for all national BSA Spanish-language multimedia projects. Maria has a keen interest and knowledge of the U.S. Hispanic market. She is certified as a Spanishlanguage translator and interpreter, and is a member of the American Translators Association, the National Hispanic Business Association, the Dallas Concilio of Hispanic Service Organizations, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and other Hispanic and Latino associations.
