The board of the Hispanic Initiatives National Committee is represented by some of the country’s most influential and notable leaders from business, religion, and government. The Committee is tasked with shaping the vision and strategies of the Hispanic Initiatives in order to fulfill the Boy Scouts of America’s mission of focused outreach towards this increasingly significant population. The committee is addressing specific concerns facing Hispanics in America, including education, economic growth, and health care issues, and developing culturally relevant communication in response to these needs.
The ultimate goal is to create a multigenerational tradition between Scouting and the Hispanic community in which young Scouts and their parents strengthen family and community bonds through participation in the Scouting program.
