Cub Scout

If you like hanging out with your friends, doing new things, and most of all, having a lot of fun, then Cub Scouts might be for you! Cub Scouts are boys in the first to fifth grade or 7 to 10 years old. This is the first and biggest of the three Scouting programs and provides lots of fun activities for the Cub Scout, like crafts, games, sports, songs, and stories, just to name a few. Every Cub Scout is a member of a large Pack and smaller Den of about six to eight boys of similar age. To make sure that there are good adult leaders, the Pack belongs to a community organization like a church or school, which provides a place to meet with exciting things to do. Packs usually meet once a month, while the Den meets every week. At both the Den meetings and Pack meetings, Cub Scouts do different things for the purpose of both fun and learning. Cub Scouts go on field trips and participate in other outdoor activities like camping. Being a Cub Scout is about doing all sorts of exciting things. Whatever it is that you enjoy, you'll have a chance to do it in Cub Scouting.
