Once a Scout . . . Always a Scout.
It began on a foggy night in London, when an unknown Scout appeared to a lost American businessman, W.D. Boyce, and guided Boyce to his destination without acceptance of payment. That “good turn” launched the Boy Scouts of America, and since that fateful day, over 110 million Americans have joined the BSA.
The Scouting Alumni Association is a call to all who have been positively impacted by the BSA—family members of Scouts (past and present), volunteers, Scouters, and community leaders to:
Rekindle enthusiasm for Scouting and the values it represents
Reconnect alumni with other Scouting alumni with similar interests
Re-engage alumni to become active in Scouting again
The SAA makes America stronger. SAA serves every Scouting alum—but it is our loyal and supportive Hikers and Pathfinders who make programs and services possible for America’s youth. If you are a Hiker or Pathfinder already, thank you for your support and participation. If you are not, find out how to become one TODAY!
Finally, if you have an idea for how we can do more to serve Scouting alumni, talk to us. We’d love to hear from you
