BSA Presents Four 2011 Quality Licensee Awards
The 2011 Quality Licensee Awards (QLA) were recently presented to A-B Emblem, (4th year, QLA recipient), Advantage Emblem, Inc., (1st year, QLA recipient) ClassB®, (5th year, QLA recipient), and Sunshine Emblem & Decal, Inc., (3rd year, QLA recipient). Awards were presented in a closing ceremony at this year's 2012 BSA Licensee Summit to licensees who met or exceeded the requirements established for the Quality Licensee Award.
"To become a Quality Licensee required us to align our business policies and practices to correspond with the requirements of the award," said Myron Stevenson, Advantage Emblem, Inc. "We value the award and believe it sets us apart from other licensees."
BSA Quality Licensees are those companies who go above and beyond in providing exceptional product quality, market innovation, and superior customer service. "Earning the Quality Licensee Award is a measure of success", offered Gregg Hilferding, ClassB®, "it gives us a set of goals each year that help us contribute back to Scouting." Scouting customers recognize that earning the Quality Licensee award represents that a licensee has gone above and beyond in serving Scouting.
For some, it means going above and beyond customer expectations. "We recognize the value and importance of providing outstanding customer service" said Sam Lefkowitz, Sunshine Emblem & Decals, Inc. "Our customers frequently say that our high level of customer service is one of the ways sets us apart from the competition."
Each of the award recipients said that they expect 2012 to be a big year. There will be more design ideas, increased use of social media, and more resources devoted for district and council events.
"Put a Quality licensee together with a great product and you have a winning situation," said Sandy Parrott of A-B Emblem.
