How to Ensure You Have Authentic 100th Anniversary Merchandise

Brand authentication plays an integral role in protecting consumers from being misled from companies who may be manufacturing substandard and unauthorized products in the marketplace. A strong brand authentication and security program helps protect the customer by providing assurance that the merchandise is produced to certain quality standards, there is adequate consumer protection for product failure, and that the supplier meets social compliance regulations.

For our upcoming 100th Anniversary, we have implemented a program to ensure that consumers know that they are purchasing Authentic 100th Anniversary product. All 100th Anniversary products, produced by the BSA National Supply Group and all merchandise sold by official BSA licensees will carry a distinct "Authentic BSA 100th Anniversary Product" holographic security label as required by BSA.

BSA 100th Anniversary Holographic Security"Authentic BSA 100th Anniversary Product" holographic stickers and hangtags can be viewed to the right. These identifiers are in addition to the holographic security label or other approved brand authenticity measures that current BSA licensees are required to place on every licensed item sold.

These security measures are designed to help consumers identify and track authorized merchandise in the retail landscape.

BSA 100th Anniversary Holographic SecurityIf you purchase product with a BSA® trademark (including a BSA Fleur de lis, or any other proprietary mark, word or phrase), make sure you look for proof that it is either an official Boy Scouts of America product, or that it carries a holographic seal, hangtag or other approved marking. Items that are suspected of infringing on BSA® trademarks can be reported at www.scouting.org/licensing.
