Openings available immediately for summer 2010 treks
Philmont Scout Ranch is now accepting reservations for the available spaces in the summer of 2010 from any Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Team, Venture Crew or Sea Scout Ship in the country on a first-come, first served basis.  Once they are booked, they will no longer be available - so book your adventure now!

 

Philmont Trek Selection 2010 Trek Itinerary information is now available online
The 2010 Treks book information is now available online. You can download the entire book, or review itineraries individually at a glance.  The itinerary selection process has changed starting in 2010, and the process will now be done online.  Prior to selecting your trek online, be sure to complete your Itinerary Selection Worksheet prior to that time so you will be ready to complete the itinerary selection process online (which is is first-come, first-served method).

 

 

2010 Itinerary Selection and Arrival/travel information

Itinerary Selection for 2010 is now being handled by Philmont Logistics.  For the 2010 season, the databases are operational at Philmont and all Itinerary Selections and changes to Crew Contact or Travel (Arrival) information are made directly by Philmont's Logistics Department.  If you have not yet selected your itinerary, then you need to FAX your completed Itinerary Selection Worksheet directly to Philmont at 575-376-2636.

If you have not yet submitted your Travel (Arrival) information, you must send it within 30 days of arriving at Philmont for your trek.  See the Itinerary Selection Worksheet or refer to the Arrival Postcard that was included in the front of your 2010 TREKS Itinerary Guide. Philmont Training Center Philmont Training Center

Adults and families have opportunities of their own at the Philmont Training Center. This is the BSA National Volunteer Training Center, and summer and fall courses are offered for a variety of pack, troop, team, crew, district, council and national and professional topics.  World-class courses and seminars cover all aspects of Scouting—all amid Philmont's dramatic scenery.  Week-long family programs make this an ideal trip for the whole family, serving all ages.

American Red Cross - Wilderness First Aid registration Wilderness First Aid course being offered at all three National High Adventure bases 
Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier High Adventure Base, and Florida National High Adventure Sea Base,  with the assistance of the American Red Cross and Emergency Care and Safety Institute, are each offering a Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor Course at the low, low price of $150.00 per person this spring.
