Though this course touches on a few of the essential mechanics of advancement, it is designed primarily for experienced and knowledgeable district and council advancement committee chairs, members, and staff advisors. Participants will analyze, discuss, and solve case studies such as those regularly considered by the national Advancement Team and Committee with its Eagle Issues Task Force. As a result of this advanced educational experience, attentive participants will develop an expertise in the real purpose of advancement and also the confidence and ability to handle difficult issues and challenges according to BSA intent. Prerequisite: Participants will have studied the Guide to Advancement, and have a thorough understanding of the basic mechanics of advancement.
Week 2: June 16-22
