Putting More Outing in Scouting

Most youth join Scouting to go outdoors! That is not a surprise, but too often we do not meet that expectation. This will be a high-energy conference that will spend more time in the outdoors than the classroom (as all Scouting SHOULD be!) Come experience unique, time-and-youth-tested ideas in unit outdoor program; including the importance of a child/nature connection, why outdoor program attracts and retains youth, hikes and campouts with a purpose, C.O.P.E., conservation projects, planning a quality program, and more. Bring your day-hiking gear and be prepared to go outdoors!
