The United States Fund for International Scouting (USFIS) within the National Boy Scouts of America Foundation offers individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations the opportunity to provide substantial financial support to world Scouting. Gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been distributed through the USFIS throughout the world of Scouting. Appointed by and reporting to the International Committee of the BSA, the volunteer USFIS Committee reviews grant requests from Scouting associations recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Requests that favor Direct Service and support Scouts, especially requests for program, literature, equipment, and camp/jamboree scholarships, are most favored because they directly affect the welfare and enhancement of Scouting. Grants for capital expenditures and projects have been approved on a limited scale. Grant proposals must also be approved by the association's region.
