Who May Participate

The Double H, in keeping with the policies of the Boy Scouts of America, rules for participation are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or special needs. Participants must be registered members of the BSA who will be at least age 14 by January 1 of the participation year or have completed the eighth grade (and be at least 13 years of age) prior to attendance. A crew must have a majority of its members under age 21. Crew size is 7 to 12. Each participant must be capable of participating in the backpacking trek. Each participant must meet the health requirements as outlined in the Health and Medical Form.

Reservation Procedures

Reservations can be made through the Philmont online reservation system that takes place in October and November each year. At other times, contact the Double H directly (see our "Contact Us" for contact information). Currently, there are still openings for crews for expeditions during the summer of 2006 - click here to download a registration form.

Fees

The 2007 Double H fee of $365 is charged for every participant, including adult advisors. A deposit of $50 per participant is required to hold your reservation and is due January 31, 2006. Your group will be billed for one half the balance of fees on September 1, 2006. The final payment is due February 1, 2007.
